On July 1, 1997, a group of primary care physicians and specialists in Virginia and West Virginia merged their practice to create WVVA HealthCare Alliance, P.C.
The intent of WVVA Healthcare Alliance is to develop and maintain an integrated healthcare delivery system through partnerships and affiliation with locally prominent physicians and other health care providers and organizations. All affiliated physicians and other health care providers and organizations must meet and maintain very stringent quality and professional standards including the specifications of the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and Accountable Care Organization.
